The Water Tank
Since March 18th I have been working at the Studio Backlot Tour Water Tank. The attraction is actually split into two parts and the second part is a shuttle ride, which I never worked at. The cast for the water tank is small. It only takes four people to operate it, and we usaully have about 9-10 there at a time. Not easy to get away from people who are annoying, which most of them are. I thought since I was there for such a short amount of time and there were not that many guys, I wouldn't have a story for my blog, but I was wrong...
The story is about a boy named Alex. And I call him a boy because he is 19 years old. (I just turned 25). So Alex started hitting on me pretty early on. The very first time I actually became worried, we were walking together out of work and he made a joke about having a crush on me. Actually I'm not sure if it was a joke or a way to get a reponse or what, but we will call it a joke. After that occurance I had not seen him for about a week and I was telling another guy Stephen there about what had happened. Well not even 30 seconds after Stephen walked off to go do something else, Alex came up to me and asked me for my number. I couldn't really think of anything to say except my number, so I gave it to him. He texted me that night letting me know what his number was, but then after I responded, he never texted me again. Weird, but not a bad thing.
Even though I had not heard from him on the phone, he continued to hit on me at work. One day I told him he was much to young for me and that six years was a huge age difference. He spent the next two weeks trying to convince me otherwise. Mostly this story was just annoying because Alex was extremely difficult to get away from and he didn't seem to be giving up. Although lately he has made less comments and has been less optimistic toward the situation.
Sorry the story isn't fantastic, but I wanted to have at least one guy story from the Water Tank.
My next adventure takes me to Disney's Art of Animation Resort as a full time Front Desk opening team cast member. This is going to be awesome and I cannot wait to start next week!

Congratulations on getting full time front desk, especially at Art of Animation! That is so great. :) I'll have to come see you there. Good luck!
