The Month of April

April was a pretty fantastic month. It all began with my last day of working full time at Disney on April 2nd. That was probably the most freeing feeling and after a month, I think I'm almost ready to go back a pick up a shift or two. (but we'll see) That same weekend was conference, which was excellent as always. Then the second weekend in April my sister came out to visit. We spent three days at the parks. It was exhausting, but fun. I think the longer I'm in Florida and the less exciting the parks are the more tired I get when I go, but I still love spending time with family and am so happy every time they come to see me!

The next weekend was followed with a dance, which was lame, but I still had fun. The next morning I went canoeing for the first time. Now I can't say this was the best experience ever. It caused me so much pain and I was sore for days afterward. I was no good at it and felt like a complete failure. However, despite all of this, I had a great time. It was a beautiful day and I had so much fun with my friends. I also learned that its good for me to try new things, even if they make me feel like a failure. That night I also attended a goodbye/birthday party for my friend Marissa. It was fun but I was so tired that I only stayed until 9:45 and then went home and went straight to bed!

AND as if the month was not going well enough already, I flew to Boise to visit my parents in their new house! My sister, Colby and Carter were already there along with a family friend Adrianna (who I only got to spend less then 24 hours with). I was so excited to see my nephews. They are adorable and I love those boys. There is nothing like being an aunt and playing with them and the turning them back to their mom when they get cranky! I was able to spend five days with them before they headed back to Indiana.

The last week of April was pretty chill. I worked from my parents house, hung out with my parents, watched all the Disney Channel and ABC Family I had been missing since we got rid of our cable, ate some good food, did a little shopping, got a new waterproof camera for my b-day and so much more. BUT I saved the best for last. On the very last day of April, I was able to hang out with Kara and Mollie who I have not seen since I graduated in July 2009. They came up to see me and we went out to lunch, went to the mall, watched Water for Elephants, ate dinner with my parents, and chilled at Mollie's sisters house. It was the perfect end to the month!

Here's hoping for a fantastic May! Happy 24th b-day me to!!!
