Disney Channel recently came out with a new movie called Lemonade Mouth. I am a huge fan of Disney Channel movies and so I decided to check it out. While this movie had a very High School Musical/Camp Rock feel where they would just randomly break out into song, it also had a very different feel to it. The movie is about a band of five misfit freshman called Lemonade Mouth who were randomly thrown together after meeting in detention. The movie goes through the process of the beginning to the band making it big and throws in some very important lessons along the way. It talks about the importance of families and being appreciative of what you have, standing up for what you believe in, being honest with yourself and others, friendships and relationships, and the most important message in the movie which is not neglecting the arts for sports. I absolutly loved this movie and the music in it. Even though it was not the best made movie, it had some amazing messages that I think kids really needed to hear. And just like the Disney way, there were even a couple extremely emotional moments that had me choking up a little bit. I know most of my blog readers do not watch the Disney channel, but if you are ever bored enough or want to watch a movie with a lot of good values, I highly suggest Lemonade Mouth!
