Car = Freedom!!!

My sister pointed out to me today that my blog has not been recently updated. There is a very simple explanation for that, we got into a fight. You see I wanted to post videos and pictures all about my freedom of having a new car, but my blog wanted to die and shut down every time I attempted. So I am now trying again in hopes my blog and I can get along.

I'm sure everyone already knows, but my parents sent me a car last week and it was been an amazing addition to my experience in Florida. I wanted to be sure that I would get the most use out of the car possible so on the first day I went to the place I had been craving most, Steak N Shake. The first time I remember going to Steak N Shake was about two years ago when I went to Indiana with my parents to babysit Colby while his parents went on vacation. I became obsessed with their side by side chocolate banana shakes and I want to have one every time I go to Indy. Now I live a short five minutes away from this wonderful establishment and have gone there twice! That first day I also attempted to find a Sprint store to find a car charger for my phone. This seemed find in theory, but my navigation system took me to the middle of nowhere. Now I had half a battery and no car charger. I quickly went home so I would not be lost somewhere in Orlando.

Even though that first day was great with no buses, I really wanted to make the next day special and so I took pictures and videos of my day! I began at UPS because I needed to mail a package. I will post pictures of what I mailed when the people I mailed it to receive it!

I next went to Chick Fli A. I have always had a special place in my heart for their chicken nuggets and was craving their food. This however was a disappointment. The chicken was chewy and had a funny taste. I did decide that I will give them one more chance to see if they were having an off day, but that wont be for a while.
After learning the night before that I was going to be deployed to Port Orleans in a couple weeks, I decided to head over there and see what their shop looked like. Deployed mean I will be working their for a week while they need someone to fill in. I will be back at my usual job after that week is up. Next, I decided it would be a good idea to go to Downtown Disney to the "World of Disney." We often tell our guests to check there if we don't have something and I thought I should really see what's up. After having a look around I sat on a park bench, watching kids play in the fountain and talking to my mom on the phone. It was a nice day...warm with clouds and a breeze.

I really want to take advantage of free admission to the parks while I am down here but buses made it difficult to get places quickly. As I left Downtown Disney, I was trying to decide if I wanted to go to Hollywood or Animal Kingdom. I remembered that Animal Kingdom closed the earliest, so I went to Hollywood Studios, which was a good choice because it was past five and Animal Kingdom closes at five, duh to me!

I had a couple of goals for Hollywood Studios. One was to go on Toy Story Mania because I didn't have the chance last year and everyone always talks about it and how it has the longest wait time of the park. After a 45 minute wait I was able to see what all the fuss was and it was worth it. One thing I like about Disney is they try to keep lines as interesting as possible, as you will be able to see in the video below. Now a 45 minute wait probably sounds about normal for Disney World, because it is, but not in September. I went on the Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror with only five minute waits. Below is a video of the roller coaster taking off. For all those who have not been on this ride, it is the kind that shoots you off instead of going up a hill and then coming down. Another cast member where I work often tells guests to hold a nickle when they ride the Tower of Terror because it will hoover in your hand....I DO NOT SUGGEST DOING THIS. I tried it the nickle hit me in the head as we dropped and was all over the place. Good experiment, wouldn't do it again. Just enjoy the ride!

Sorry this video looks like its having a seizure, I guess my camera is low quality and walking and videoing do not go together.

Thanks for making it to the bottom of my super long post. Having a car is such a blessing and I am so lucky to have parents like mine! I ended my day with a trip to Wal-mart and when I went to put my groceries in the trunk, I discovered to cases of water. My parents think of everything and they are the best!
Love,
Elizabeth
